Despite a set of laws that aim to guarantee equal rights and opportunities, the participation and citizenship of the disabled; despite a collection of international classifications intended to put this policy into effect; despite a sizeable theoretical consideration to understand, starting with the realities of the terrain, the social conditions given to disabled people, and to define their anthropological status; fully taking part in the city life remains a distant utopian idea for these people. With the mutant representation, which ranks high among media for teenagers (Marvel world for instance) the author proposes an anthropological reading of what seems to be a social deadlock on a human life scale.
