The task of people who work the 119 phone service (a French hotline for at-risk children) is to assess the dangers a child is facing. Their activity is exclusively focused on the voice. This vocal relationship raises a specific question about what is said or not said and heard or not heard during a phone call. The goal of the supervisors is to disentangle, through a work team, the different issues between the caller and the listener.
