Deficient Early Parental Care and Borderline Personality Disorder

Given the various situations dealt with by child protection services, is it possible to develop some clinical and psychopathological benchmarks? This article aims to do just that. From a clinical standpoint, it shows the role of deficient parental care in the development of borderline disorders. Among subjects placed in foster care, it is possible to identify specific anxieties, the manner in which the subject relates to the world, and fixations in psycho-affective development. However, looking at borderline personality disorders also allows a better understanding of obstacles in psychiatric care for these subjects.
