A family secret is never silent. Despite its status of something hidden, it is revealed through certain manifestations, especially emotional or mimogestual, testifying to a partial symbolisation of the event in sensori-affectivemotor form. In the case study in hand one of the aspects oozing out of the secret is constituted by the qualifying of a simple child’s game as « silly », in the context of a family marked by a painful event that has been kept secret. Drawing on this case, the dynamics of family secrets, the accompanying therapy aiming at bringing them into the open, and the characteristics of information adapted to young children are envisaged.
