Precarity does not necessarily entail failure of the adult in the exercise of parental authority. It can weaken it, make it more vulnerable without, however, questioning the quality of the relationship with the child. Child protection is a domain of cooperation between different professionals, which is both its strength and its fragility. Precarity often arouses concern and anxiety in professionals which strengthen the feeling of insecurity and doubt in parents. The support sometimes imposed by juvenile courts aims at reassuring parents as to their legitimacy and educative role. The educative accompaniment decided by juvenile courts remains the only guarantee to date of recognizing parents as having rights and enabling the reassertion of the latter in in the exercise of their rights. Support measures for the management of family budgets can be an appropriate response for these families.
