Anticipating in order to provide better support. The CICO consultation and treatment settings in perinatal psychiatry
Type de matériel :

Supporting future mothers and future parents presenting psychic disorders requires coordination between all the professionals in perinatal health care. Adult and child psychiatrists still do not work together sufficiently, even though there is now an abundant literature that insists on the importance of caring for the adult and for the future parent and, subsequently, the relations being formed between this baby and its parents. The prenatal or preconception cico (maternity nursing interview and combined psychiatric/child psychiatric consultation) is an opportunity for discussing the most appropriate therapeutic options with the women and couples, for facilitating the networking of professionals, and for proposing suitable child psychiatric care at the earliest opportunity.
