How do we work with children using fairy tales?

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2019. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Fairy tales still play an essential role for children today. By addressing their imaginary world, they provide them with solutions for the problems that arise in the course of their development. How do we grow up? How do we invent solutions for overcoming what causes us anxiety and frightens us? The participation of parents in the transmission and reading of these tales is also very important; it reassures the child about the violence that is in him/her, which can be recognised by the other and overcome by the heroes of the tale with which he/she identifies. In contrast with the books that we give them to read nowadays, which mostly have a purely educative purpose, the magic, and even “madness”, of certain tales are closer to their reality, and the approbation of the adult who reads the tale is essential for their construction. This is what we notice every day when children bring us fairy tales in analytic treatments.
