Rimbaud, the poet, the “seer”, throughout his life, from childhood to adulthood,, including adolescence, was accompanied by hatred. Hatred for his origins, hatred for injustice, hatred in his personal relationships, hatred was the true life companion. Hatred was “useful” for him, both in his life as a poet and as a man. It was his “sense of lucidity”, but also his permanent “season of hell”.
