In trying to bring together the notions of neurodevelopmental disorders (ndd) or autism spectrum disorders (ASD), in particular, and silence, we come up against several apparently contradictory yet complementary notions, ranging from the non-existent and stressful silence, when one mentions the perceptual atypia of ASD people, such as auditory hypersensitivity, for example, to the incomprehensible and destructive silence linked to the absence of transmission of knowledge and skills and the lack of initial training. Not to mention the heavy, distressing and equally inexplicable silence induced by the failure to keep abreast of new knowledge and advances in the field of autism in training and communication. This article will therefore discuss each of these elements and, despite the many questions raised, provide some answers in an attempt to both break this confusing and destructive silence and make it easier to perceive and understand it.
