This paper deals with the transformation of three major Parisian railway stations, the diversification of their activities and the increasing emphasis on their commercial strategies. What can best describe this emerging model of polyfunctional place management? The paper offers a site management analysis, focussing on the individuals who are simultaneously consumers and travellers in a context governed by the sometimes contradictory logics of transit and of consumerism.
