The Export of Waste and Spatial Solidarity between the City and Its Periphery
Type de matériel :

The spatial implementation of sustainable development is governed by principles of spatial solidarity and equity. This means on the one hand that the interrelationship between territories must be considered and on the other that development cannot be made to the detriment of others. The exportation of domestic waste puts territories to the test with regard to these principles. We shall analyse the case of the spreading of Tours’ waste mud to its periurban space and in doing so we shall make use of the concepts of economy of nearness and environmental inequality.
