Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2016. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This article deals with the ways observation methodology is developed to study spaces of human-animal interaction. With the financial support of Zone Atelier Alpes, a member of lter France, for several years researchers have been studying inside the Bauges National Game Reserve in order to understand the interactions between reserve users and mountain wildlife, and to measure the impacts of these interactions. This research employs different observation techniques, including direct, participant and indirect observation. Observation methodology combines a multiplicity of different practices, techniques and positions in the field, all of which are questioned and explained in this paper in order to show their strengths and weaknesses, their limits, and the considered solutions. The article demonstrates how different protocols complement one another, bringing some qualitative and quantitative data to have a better understanding about the shared spaces of humans and animals.
