This article shows the Geddes’ crucial influence on John Turner, the British architect who will become a famous writer on Self-help housing in the?1960’s and?1970’s. This long-lasting Geddesian inspiration spreads also to the whole idea of relationships between housing and environment through functions and to the holistic vision of human activities, a vision that begins in young Turner and goes on up to today.
