Both movement ( kurbet) and non-movement, such as with regard to one's home ( shtëpi), are important traditional institutions that engender a network of roots through which people forge relationships and connections with different locations. Yet, continuous movements do not only pertain to social and spatial relations but also to the geomorphological characteristics of the area. I argue that besides people, things and ideas, locations also move and shift their position, meaning and value.
