Since 2011, Atelier Paysan has advocated for the technical empowerment of farmers by building alternatives to industrial farm machinery and delivering training. In this interview, a group of members collectively discusses the cooperative’s political and technical approach to digital agricultural technologies. Between the use of free software as a means of disseminating innovations and the difficulties and dependencies inherent to the use of digital technologies, the cooperative takes a position on digital agricultural that is attentive to the tangible and varied integration of technologies into agricultural practices and farming collectives.
