Type de matériel :
36
This article introduces the critical edition of the correspondence between the socialist Georges Renard and the sociologist René Worms and thus sheds light on the relations between the nascent sociology and the socialist ideology of the 1890s. The study of Georges Renard’s collaboration with the Revue internationale de sociologie, which was relatively short-lived, thus allows us to enter into the functioning of the first journal devoted to the new discipline and to analyze the formation of intellectual networks. The rupture between Worms and Renard at the end of 1895 is also an opportunity to highlight efforts to demarcate the boundary between sociology and socialism during this period.
