Welfare workers report a weakening of their profession, under the blows of unjust public policies, administrations that do not respect the law and instructions that contradict their mission. However, they also show their attachment to the privileged relationship with families that welfare work allows, as well as to their professional culture, and suggest ways to mobilize and improve the situation.
