Using a survey carried out at the end of 2020 among people in continuing education at the CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers; National Institute for Engineering and Professional Studies), we show that the COVID-19 crisis prompted them to rethink their career plans and training choices. People who have experienced short-term unemployment or a change in their activity are more likely to report redesigning their career plans and training choices. Those who are not satisfied with their job more frequently declare that the crisis led them to redesign their career plans while the redesign of training choices is more likely to be influenced by the type of training course already undertaken and its financing scheme.
