This paper provides an overview of the case of a 15-year-old girl. The intensity of her anxiety, signs of depersonalization, and even her confusion may have been taken to indicate a psychotic disorder. Based on the issue of lying, which the patient herself brought up spectacularly, we were able to deduce the presence of an adolescent crisis, a diagnosis confirmed by a post-crisis follow-up over a period of two years.
