Sàndor Ferenczi was an analyst and a friend of Freud, who analyzed him. Through his career as an analyst and in his writings, Ferenczi displayed an exceptional originality and inventiveness. He wrote unique papers and books, he invented major concept such as introjection, and he introduced another conception of psychoanalysis. His inventiveness allowed him to propose new techniques: elastic, active, and mutual. In particular, he tried to fight with the analysand’s resistance through alternative angles. He is an author worth (re)discovering.
