We will try to show that the hallucinatory symptom in adolescence could be considered, in certain cases, and beyond the neurosis-psychosis binary, as an attempt of symbolization, participating in the work of subjectivation giving access to sexual difference. Certain hallucinatory manifestations at this age could, indeed, be understood as not only the trace of a partial defect of symbolization of the body, but also the attempt of symbolization of infantile experiences, reworked in the pubertal aftermath, because of the decrease of the strength of repression and of the superego, as well as the return of the reality of the excess of the drive.
