SIILAB is a cooperative project launched by sixteen public and private actors in the social and solidarity economy (SSE), which has emerged in a context of regional clustering. We seek to designate this project as an “intermediation process” in order to understand its effects in regionally reshaping the SSE landscape. The analytical framework combines the economy of proximities and an approach to commons in order to show that SIILAB is the vehicle for territorial intermediation process—one that has helped implement a unique cooperation dynamic between private and public sector entities and contributed more consistency in the SSE in this new regional space.
