Structuring the Experience of Couple’s Therapy
Type de matériel :
72
Midpoint between Gestalt Therapy and the Systemic approach, the authors propose three themes of prior reflection for all couple’s therapy: How to listen and orient a request for individual therapy towards a couple’s therapy when the figural presenting problem is that of the couple? Clarify the anthropology of the therapist by making explicit his/her own introjections and representations which could either open or limit the work of the therapy. In couple’s therapy, who is the client? The client may be one or the other of the partners; or the interaction between the partners; or the couple itself as a living organism, this last being the preferred choice of the authors.
