Influence as Commitment

The power we have as therapists or coaches may seem obvious. However, a major part of the questioning and learning during my years of training was about being in such an influential position facing another person. This action that I have with my clients is sometimes colored by a sensation of power, from which I defend myself just as much as I find it stimulating. It can block contact as much as enabling it, just like my travels on the domination/submission axis with some of my clients.
