Descriptive research: describing the practice from the perspective of the gestalt therapist who conducts it
Type de matériel :
74
Research shows that practitioners have an erroneous representation of their actual practice and that their actual practice is far removed from the theories professed. Despite our personal therapies, training and supervision, the same is true for Gestalt-therapists. Describing our actions methodically will have professional, political, pedagogic and scientific repercussions. In order to confirm the competency model built from actual practice, the Pragma research group aims to produce reliable descriptions of practice from the practitioner’s perspective by drawing on the methodology used in education sciences. The work presented is based on the transcript of a session, supplemented by reliable elements of the practitioner’s experience obtained through self-confrontation interviews. It reveals a distinction between the gestalt-therapist’s gestures and interventions and between apparent and actual gestures/acts.
