Deciding and being daring have been at the core of the evolution of this autour’s Gestalt therapy practice. He describes how an improvisational clown practice has helped him enhance his therapist posture. He was able to free himself from introjects that told him to be a “serious therapist conforming to a model”. Through two clinical examples, he describes how, on discovering improvisational clowning, he was able to unlock his creativity to more effectively receive his clients and build a caring therapeutic relationship with them.
