Anatole’s little saucepan. Representing disability in children’s books
Type de matériel :

Anatole drags a saucepan around with him, everywhere he goes. The little boy, the protagonist of the children’s book La Petite casserole d’Anatole, is encumbered by his saucepan, which hinders his movements and disrupts his relationship with others. A metaphor for disability, the saucepan acquires, through its very banality, a universal dimension. Going beyond stereotypical representations, in this book, author-illustrator Isabelle Carrier offers us a sensitive and original approach to the subject.
