Being a social worker and an alternative practitioner? A look at four career paths
Type de matériel :
24
The article aims to describe, in an exploratory manner, the salient elements of the career paths of four social workers who have decided to train and practice alternative care. In what ways and for what reasons do they integrate these activities? Since integrative logics in medical and social services and institutions are rare, these professionals prefer to practice as independent practitioners. Being an alternative care practitioner allows them to sustain their work in social services, to fill in its blind spots, to reinvent it, to open it up to a wider audience, to give it meaning again, and for some, to re-enchant it.
