There is no lack of scrutiny over the situation of the Catholic Church in France. Rather than denouncing the vanishing of old models, it is better to focus our attention on what is being created, what is growing, and what is bearing fruit. This is the case of new spaces on the fringes of parishes that are welcoming to all and that have been constructed according to specific proposals. An important example is the “Zeitfenster” project in Aachen, Germany. Paradoxical though it may seem, the decentralization of parishes will surely help to bring about a regeneration of the Church.
