The bright future of marine renewable energies

The sea is a source of renewable energy. From the tide mills that have been used since Antiquity to modern day wind turbines, the techniques employed are numerous. Recently, wind farms have been built along France’s coasts, and this initiative is due to be rolled out on a much larger scale. Other systems are under consideration, such as the use of currents, sea-swell, and thermal energy. Nonetheless, we are left with the issue of intermittency, which requires better connected modes of production.
