The university is a complex organization in which many institutional logics coexist due to the presence of two professional groups: teacher-researchers and administrators. These logics organize knowledge and guide actors’ decision-making. Driven by a perspective centered on institutional logics, this research illustrates the representation of human capital and highlights the differences that may exist between different types of actors within a French university in a post-merger context. Based on a qualitative method, this research highlights four different representations of human capital within the observed university: administration, valorization, social climate, and attractiveness; reflecting different institutional logics according to the respondents.
