While no assessment has yet been commissioned to establish the lessons learned from the health crisis—which keeps returning—, philosopher Barbara Stiegler is calling for a democratic awakening. It is time to emerge from our stupor, to relearn how to talk to each other, to go beyond the binary logics that divide society, and to proceed to a collective critical examination of how the crisis has been managed and its consequences for democratic life.
