Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2020. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Faced with the increase in life expectancy in our current societies, socio-educational and health authorities are examining the future of people with disabilities. In Switzerland, the simultaneous aging of parents and their children with intellectual disabilities is a concern for these specific authorities. Whether they live in supported residential accommodation or go to day centers, the aging of people with intellectual disabilities confronts parents, professionals, institutions, and the social and healthcare system with increasing needs of support, particularly regarding health monitoring. It is in this context that we examine the commitment of parents in the health monitoring of their son/daughter. We also consider the impact on each of the actors in the social and healthcare network.
