For older adults, loss of autonomy, fatigue, isolation, lack of mobility, illness, all constitute additional obstacles to the possibility of eating well. Based on the output of workshops carried out with several groups of elderly people in the Walloon Region, Belgium, this article explores the changes in their diet throughout their personal journey. The facilitation tool “My plate throughout my life journey” set up by the Âgo association, from June 2023 to January 2024, within the framework of a popular education project on sustainable food, promotes participants’ awareness, and is conducive to defining, or even discovering pathways that promote healthy, balanced, and adequate nutrition in older age. In this way, our approach sheds light on the concerns that older adults have with regards to ageing and nutrition.
