The aim is to recreate Christian politics around traditional moral values, with the political authority subordinating itself to the religious authority. Moreover, this ideological trend is seeking to extend its influence beyond the United States, taking advantage of the development of populist movements. It has already found an ally in Viktor Orbán’s Hungary.
