Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2007. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The Lebanon War July-August 2006 : myths and realities of Israeli military failure In Israel, the Second Lebanon War (summer 2006) against the Hezbollah is quite unanimously considered as an expensive and missed conflict, even worse, as a failure. In retrospective, the very negative perception of this military engagement is to be observed in regards to previous conflicts and to a very particular Israeli prism. If this conflict revealed the strategic deficiencies of Major State government logistics, it also showed a very high level of solidarity between Israeli, all ideological tendencies included. For these reasons, the outcome of the July-August campaign must be moderated and nuanced light should be brought on the Iranian expansionism, today and days to come.
