"The link between language and nation in France may be approached from two different angles: on the one hand, the regional languages in relation to the French language, which shows great diversity in real situations; and on the other hand, the different uses of the French language itself, which bring out other spaces and dimensions, as in the case of a study of rap songs in certain urban territories. In the two approaches, there is a common figure of speech developed around regional languages and rap: the image of the victim. Both examples are developed in order to open other perspectives for the geopolitical analysis of the nation. "
