The digital revolution is spreading in societies now facing the challenges of an unfavorable evolution of the global environment. This contemporaneity is probably no coincidence. The digital is essential for understanding ecosystems and predicting their evolution. It also plays a major role in achieving greater frugality in the use of certain resources in order to reduce the footprint of human activities. At the same time, a form of digital governance is emerging, based on an intrusive and continuous ability to control individuals, with security, financial and increasingly ecological transition objectives. The ethical and political framework of this evolution is still rudimentary, but original representations of nature and technology in the Anthropocene are emerging in certain Asian countries, which could have a global influence on the forms of digital governance.
