Environmental policies have been built over the last 50 years and the article shows their dismantling, in just two years, by administrative measures and the intentionality of the adopted strategy. The text reports on the current situation of national biomes and assesses public environmental policies, considering that Brazilian environmental problems transcend borders, affect the planet and influence connections, commitments and actions resulting from decisions taken at different levels.
