From the 70’s, this approach emphasizes on the relationships between the economy of the communication and the power. After, she cooperated with other approaches to analyse the links between politics and culture, to work out the theory of the cultural industries, to study the public policies and to research on the social discourses. She plays an essential role in the critics of the society of information, the study of the global media or the supposed “digital divide”.
