Work sharing in virtual learning communities

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2006. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Since 1998, The IT department of Limoges virtual campus offers distance course via the Internet, and degrees in IT, via IT. The 600 students are organized in virtual training communities (VTCs). Virtual learning communities result from a socialization process specific to the Internet. The working group is a good means to avoid a feeling of isolation and to facilitate learning. Students and teachers communicate at two different levels: that of the global community, and within communities based on the courses. They share work within working communities, that is to say that they mutualize their skills and have to coordinate their work in order to succeed in their training. Successful collaborative work needs the implementation of a netiquette, while work groups, organized in student networks, promote collective intelligence.
