Since the early 60s, studies and practices in information and communication have arisen in very disseminated places without links among them. Philosophers have brought an important contribution, sharing their anxiety about risks of a forthcoming technology driven society. During a long time, social sciences concerned by information and communication have not integrated those thoughts, neither have they taken in account experiences and knowledge coming from mass media engineers, artists and social movements.
