Knowledge doesn’t lie outside of individuals. If we want to understand the world in which we live, it is essential to start from oneself. The will to know oneself and the others activates an endless self education process. Two factors facilitate this work: being listened by a partner who gives sense to your speech and writing up an argumented autobiography, which distinguishes the aim of your research from your project. These factors give you the status of a subject following an educational process, which is existential at the same time. P. H. Chombart de Lauwe and H. Desroche, two non-classical anthropologists, have set up and succesfully experimented this open and demanding pedagogy.
