This article explores the relocation of exiled populations within the European Union, a process that involves a group of public policies aimed at selecting and transferring asylum seekers from one EU member state to another. For several decades, these policies have been at the center of the debate on European immigration policy. On the basis of migration research, the article shows that relocation is founded on an acommunication.
