Radio stations in psychiatric settings: the voice as an encounter with otherness

Since the creation of La Colifata in Argentina, psychiatric radio stations have spread throughout Latin America and Europe. They have had a rich and varied impact, both clinically and socially. This article sets out to show how working with the voice enables patients to emerge as subjects in the encounter with otherness, while at the same time giving society the opportunity to encounter the otherness of psychosis.
