From his wealth of experience in command and more personal ordeals, General Irastorza has adopted four principles, four virtues, which for him are the essential components in morale: rigor, enthusiasm, willpower, and camaraderie. He proposes to examine how developing these qualities enables soldiers, and individuals more generally, to face adversity.
