Aging of disabled persons entails modifications in their institutional care, especially at the end of life. Social workers are not usually equipped to face the last moments in the life of institution residents, as the training of specialized educators does not include material on end-of-life care.This work explores the difficulties faced by educators in the palliative phase of caring for a resident at the end of life, as well as their resources.Caring for a resident at the end of life is a source of anxiety for educators, and reveals difficulties in interdisciplinary collaboration. As this type of care brings educators to the limits of their skills, they require resources to care for residents until the end.
