This article describes a care context which differs from the straightforward situations that we have often handled; demanding specialized skills and a multidisciplinary approach. It is the case of a HIV seropositive woman (Mirabelle) who witnessed the death of both her adolescent children: fifteen-year-old Sandra and twelve-year-old Ivan. The context called for a family palliative care structure that was different from a group one. Mirabelle’s stressful experience obliged her to accept a number of different carers during the period.
