Spirituality in nursing practice: One approach

This article highlights the approach used in the palliative care unit of Lavaux Hospital that aims to make spirituality part of the care. This study was carried out with the cooperation of professionals in the field and the patients. We identified different kinds of spirituality as well as obstacles to their expression. The work led to the introduction of a tool in the form of a collection of relevant data, entitled HOPE.
