Scientific research into the integration and development of spirituality in health care is increasing every year. However, researchers have noted that there is a significant gap in research concerning the spirituality of patients who adhere to Islam. It is in this context that our article aims to take stock of the state of knowledge in this field, to understand the specificities of these patients and their spiritual needs. They understand illness and the end of life within a religious and spiritual framework. They may believe in God’s omnipotence in the healing process, which requires the integration of these beliefs and practices into treatment plans to deliver culturally-appropriate care to Muslim patients.
